Every care plan for a business website includes managed WordPress hosting on Kinsta's enterprise platform. Everything on this page comes with every plan, from Basic to Agency.
Hosting and backups
Your site runs on Kinsta's enterprise WordPress hosting. The providers are chosen and managed for you, so you never have to deal with a server.
Your domain's DNS records are hosted on a managed DNS service and looked after for you, so your address keeps pointing to the right place.
Security certificates are issued, renewed and enforced automatically, so visitors never hit a warning because a certificate ran out.
A full copy of your site is saved every day, and the last 30 days are kept.
Every night, your files and database are also copied to separate cloud storage. Those copies are kept long-term, and a single file can be restored.
Quick restore points make it easy to roll back a theme or plugin change that did not go to plan.
Security, updates and monitoring
Security scanning, uptime monitoring and performance checks run all the time on every managed site. Here is what that means in practice.
Every day, your plugins, themes and WordPress version are checked against lists of known security holes.
Every night, each WordPress, plugin and theme file is compared with the official copy from WordPress.org. A file that has been changed is flagged.
When a serious security hole is found, the fix goes out to every affected site at once, not one support ticket at a time.
Plugins and themes that support automatic updates are updated weekly, and WordPress itself after a short 3-day delay. Each update is tested on a staging copy first, then applied to your live site. One that does not work with your site can be held back.
Uptime monitoring runs on every live site, all the time. If your site goes down, it is investigated, and the outage jumps the queue.
Maintenance work on your site is logged, so there is a record of what changed and when.
Good to know
On a care plan, we also fix what breaks. If an update, the hosting or a security problem breaks something, fixing it is part of your plan. Hosting, upkeep and repairs all come from one place, so there is one place to go when something is wrong.
One thing hosting does not include is email inboxes. Your site's outgoing email, like form notices and order receipts, is set up so it sends. Your mailboxes stay with your email provider.
